Frustration

"Since God so generously let us in on what He is doing, we're not about to throw up our hands and walk off the job just because we run into occasional hard times." --2 Corinthians 4:1 TM

Have you ever been frustrated with what is going on at work or in your family because you really don't understand what is going on? This bible verse reminds of a time when in a very frustrating time in the ministry. We had been in a very bad winter and finally spring was upon us, as the melting snow overwhelmed the gutters and sewers, the church basement was flooded. Soon, church members, my wife, and I cleaned up the water and raw sewage from the floor. The whole church smelled very bad, but soon with diligence and great effort, not to mention an ample supply of lemon scented bleach, the basement was clean and the smell was gone. This was not an attack of evil or demonic power, although choking through the clean up one would wonder... This experience was just life. A simple and unrelated event that although frustrating, not worth the discomfort of anger or quitting. Not long ago during a service God revealed to us in a prophetic word that His ways are not our ways. Although we may not understand everything we go through on a normal everyday basis, God is in control. When we gain a knowledge from God of what direction we are going, oh how blessed we feel with full disclosure. Yet in that very experience with God, He still may not give us every piece of the puzzle. But just having a tiny tidbit now and then to reaffirm that He is still there and guiding us. How wonderful is that! Praise God for His Grace! Occasionally things happen and it is just life, but don't get angry and storm out. Stick to it, stay the storm and know it isn't how you weather the storm; it is whether you learn to dance in the rain.

Welcome

Welcome to my blog, I hope to express thoughts that are inwardly provoking and promote self-discovery thinking. To inspire, to build up, and challange those who are ready to find and know God on a basic level to a highly invovled spiritual level that will bring the eureka moment to many with God's help. I hope this experiment is ready for those who read and follow it. I only ask that you in comments do not force a perspective in a aggresive or ugly way. I also ask that you keep the language clean and not profain or condemning. Let's all have a good time and enjoy what God has for us.
